Amy Butler Domestic Goddess Aprons

For Christmas gifts I made two Amy Butler Domestic Goddess Aprons: one for my Mom & one for my sister.  I was a little nervous embarking on this sewing project because I don't really have much experience sewing from a pattern.  I thought it would be much harder than it actually was.  I might even say these aprons were easy to make!  It took me a while but if you follow the directions on the pattern, it's not very hard!

The pattern includes 3 different aprons.  I made the 'pleated bodice full apron'.

The fabrics I used are all Amy Butler patterns and are from the Midwest Modern 2 Collection.  I really love all of the Amy Butler fabrics!

I love how these turned out!  I felt so proud of myself when they were done and I definitely want to spend more time at my sewing machine!

Next up: the Amy Butler weekender bag.  I have the pattern but it's definitely much more complicated than the apron, so it may be a while before I get around to it!
