I spent some time today getting my outdoor furniture out of storage and ready for summer. I always love getting the furniture back out on my screen porch - it looks so barren and empty during the winter.
I made a few new pillows this year. I was tired of the orange pillows I had out on the porch last year and decided to add more green. You know how I love green.

The empty porch:
Any MSU fans out there? See my Spartan flag? I'm flying it proudly.
And all filled up:
The white geranium is from last year. I brought it inside in the Fall and kept it a sunny spot in my bedroom. It did really well all Winter and started blooming about a month ago. I just put it outside this week.
My little turtles. Did I ever mention that I love turtles?
Now, I just need the weather to warm up a little bit so I can enjoy it!

um... the first thing I noticed was the MSU flag :) But, beyond that (because, well, that's great outdoor decor all on it's own), the porch looks amazing! Welcoming and cozy -- I'd love to stop by for a visit and chat on your porch. Love what you've done with it.
ReplyDeleteGO STATE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, love the porch. Can I come for coffee soon?? Or better yet a glass... or 5... of wine.
What a great porch. I like how just a simple change of pillows completely adds a new look. I have the quilted Waverly in yellow...did you iron it? I tried and the quilting disappeared.

What an excellent patio. I like how just a easy modify of cushions absolutely contributes a new look. I have the quilted Waverly in yellowish...did you metal it? I tried and the making quilts vanished.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful porch makeover! The color green coordinated well with the design and lush background. I love that your porch is screened; this will keep your summer cooler while still enjoying the outdoor.
